Deuces Wild Chair Made From 350 Decks of Recycled Playing Cards

Ever wonder what casinos do with all those old decks of playing cards? Every day millions playing cards are trashed by casinos after only a few days or even hours of use. But a company called BRC Designs is finding new ways to give life to playing cards after they’ve done their time on the Black Jack and Poker tables. One of their recent projects is a chair made out of 350 decks of retired cards.
They appropriately call it the “Deuces Wild” chair.
If the casinos were smart, they’d buy tons of these chairs for their lobbies and lounges. Not only would the Deuces Wild chair make a stunning conversation piece, but it’s “green” and would project an image of environmental thought to their guests.

Tips for arranging bedroom furniture

The way you arrange your bedroom furniture can make all the difference in the comfort, functionality and style of your room. Here are some tips for arranging your bedroom furniture.

You'll want to start with finding just the right place for your bed as your bed will be the focal point of the room. Here are some things to consider:

* Carefully choose a place that won't create any obstructions in the room.

* Don't block doors or make it hard to get into a closet, for example. If you have plenty of space, you can angle the bed in the corner of the room, giving your room a unique look.

* If your window will be open frequently, you may want to keep the bed away from the window to avoid an uncomfortable draft.

* Make sure there is room for a nightstand on either side of the bed. Having two nightstands gives more balance to your look, plus makes great places for alarm clocks, the book your reading and even some decorative elements.

For the remainder of your furniture, you'll have to decide what your storage needs are and how much space you have. The more space you have, obviously, the more creative you can get.

* Dressers & Chests of Drawers: Determine how much space you'll need for storing your clothing. Take into account how much closet space you have and how much more you'll need in draws. A traditional dresser will take up more floor space, while a tall chest of drawers can offer the same storage space without taking up so much space in your room.

* Chests: A chest placed at the foot of your bed can add a fresh look and provides you with more storage area.

* Television: If you're going to place a television in your room, make plans where to place it. It could be placed in an armoire with space specifically for a television. This is a nice look because you can close up the armoire and hide the television when you're not using it. If you are limited in space, you can place your television on your dresser (but do consider the size and weigh of the television) or invest in a television wall mount that will clear up a lot of space in your room.

* Comfy Chair or Couch: If you have room for a comfy chair or coach, consider adding one. It adds another comfortable place for TV-watching or curling up with a good book.

Overall, make sure that you have enough space for the furniture you'd like, with plenty of space to move about the room. Make sure you also have enough storage space to eliminate the clutter in your room. The more space you have, the more comfortable your bedroom environment will be.

Late night visit from Brad "Super talented Artist"

I just wanted to share some artwork from my friend Brad Carle  an extremely talented artist based out of San Diego California.He was in town doing set, and lighting design for the HP Show at Mandalay Bay and made the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest 3D Light Wall. "pretty impressive huh?". In town performing for this show that you and I would never get to see were the Goo Goo Dolls, and 
Roger Daltrey from THE WHO.

So Brad  because you visited so late, and i'm working on my blog  I have to involve you in a little Q&A. So how's it going
Brad: It's going well excited to be in town again the HP show was a blast but i'm definitely looking forward to going back to San Diego this town can wear you out. Thanks for letting me crash at your house.


What got you into art?
Brad: I don't know I guess early on since there was no one my age to play with in my neighborhood I resorted to occupying my time with crayons and paper

What or Who would you describe as your influences?
Brad: Definitely music growing up my parents had season tickets to most every major musical venue in Houston, the music definitely gave me inspiration for my future artwork as well as believe it or not Star Wars really motivated my creativity.

What would you say was your most inspirational project?
Brad: Actually Club Proteus in Houston you "remember that one" we were redesigning that place almost every week, you definitely got to explore your talents truly challenging.
Also the Casino Managers house from the Las Vegas Hilton his home has some truly inspired designs I wish I could show them to you some really great stuff.

Brad: Shanghai Reds on Brady Island in the Houston Ship Channel truly Amazing.

What would  we find in your car stereo?
 Brad: Black Joe Lewis and the Honey Bears definitely dig those guys.

I love Round Beds
